Patrol Vehicle Maintenance
Keeping vehicle patrols up and running is a costly venture. Patrol vehicles are a vital resource transporting people and supplies where they are needed most. These vehicles are not normally driving on well groomed roads but rather through rough terrain, under extreme conditions, and in many cases in a HURRY! Recently, one of the wildlife patrols that we support had to travel over 300km (186 miles) in the dark of night to rescue a sun bear trapped in a snare. Fuel, tires, and routine maintenance can cost upwards of $12,000 a year but we can help relieve some of the burden of keeping these vehicles in operation.
